ยามาร์วีลอน(Marvelon) เป็นยาชื่อการค้าของยาเม็ดคุมกำเนิดที่ประกอบด้วยฮอร์โมนเพศ 2 ตัว คือ ดีโซเจสตรีล (Desogestrel) และเอทินิล เอสตร้าไดออล(Ethinyl estradiol)

กลไกการออกฤทธิ์ : ยามาร์วีลอนจะคล้ายคลึงกับยาเม็ดคุมกำเนิดทั่วๆไป คือ ป้องกันการตกไข่ของแต่ละรอบประจำเดือน และทำให้บริเวณปากมดลูกมีสารเมือกหนาตัวขึ้น จนทำให้ตัวอสุจิผ่านเข้าในโพรงมดลูกได้ยากขึ้น

รูปแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ : ยาชนิดรับประทาน บรรจุ 21 เม็ด/แผง 

วิธีทาน (ขนาดการใช้ยา) : สตรีวัยเจริญพันธ์ รับประทานยาวันละ 1 เม็ดก่อนหรือหลังอาหารก็ได้ แต่ควรรับประทานยาในเวลาเดียวกันของแต่ละวันเพื่อคงระดับฮอร์โมนเพศในร่างกายให้คงที่ เมื่อรับประทานครบ 21 เม็ด ให้หยุดการรับประทาน 7 วัน โดยทั่วไป หลังจากรับประทานยาฮอร์โมนเม็ดที่ 21 ไปแล้ว 2-3 วัน ก็จะมีประจำเดือน และในวันที่ 8 ของการหยุดใช้ยา ให้เริ่มรับประทานยามาร์วีลอนแผงใหม่ในขนาดและเวลาเดิม

Marvelon is a brand name for oral contraceptives that contain two sex hormones, desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol.

Mechanism of action : Marvelon is similar to other birth control pills, preventing ovulation during each menstrual cycle. and causes the cervical area to have thicker mucus. making it more difficult for sperm to pass into the uterine cavity.

Product form : Oral medicine, containing 21 tablets/packet.

How to take (medicine dosage) : Women of reproductive age. Take 1 pill per day before or after a meal. But the pills should be taken at the same time each day to maintain stable levels of sex hormones in the body. When you have finished taking 21 pills, stop taking them for 7 days. Generally, after taking the 21st hormone pill, you will have your period for 2-3 days, and on the 8th day of stopping taking the pills. Start taking a new pack of Marvelon at the same dose and at the same time.
